Hey all.

Just wanted to give a heads-up. I'm in DC at the Rally to Restore Sanity with my wife and Morgannon. I'll be back in the mix on Monday.

I want to hear about the rally. Didn't get to see any of it. I'd like to hear your main takeaways.

It was huge. I don't know how to judge crowds, but the Mall was covered, and so were the streets on both sides. We couldn't get close enough to watch the stage. I can say it would fill at least a few big stadiums, but that's all I know. 250k sounds reasonable, if not conservative.

Signs were funny: "Hitler was a Nazi", "No Bears!", "Why did I bring this sign? I'm getting tired of holding it."

It was a relaxed vibe. A young crowd, but definitely not a hippy one. More like typical college kids mixed with some older folk.

I guess Jon Stewart gave a pretty good speech at the end, but I haven't watched it yet.

All in all it gave me some hope for this country. There are a lot of people that aren't into yelling and hyperbole out there. It was obviously more liberal than conservative, but there weren't many political signs there. More just funny ones. Most serious signs I saw were just anti FoxNews.
