|I've recently been thinking about asking new Ritual casters to pick which one of the Spheres of influence (Blood, Dreams, Gaea, and Stitch) is tuned to the entities that grant their spells. Consequently, they would have to allocate at least 25% of their daily spell point total to this primary Sphere and at most 25% to its opposed Sphere (Blood opposes Dream and Gaea opposes Stitch).
Although this specialization somewhat reduces their flexibility, my intent isn't to nerf Ritual casters but rather to make them more flavorful by associating the source of their power to a specific Realm. Therefore, a necromancer-like character linked to the Realms of Perdition or a druid-like character linked to the Viridian Realms would each tend to cast more appropriately themed spells.
Any thoughts? Am I at risk of breaking Ritual spellcasters with this house rule?
