Hey folks!

Been a while, but my wife has assisted in providing me with time to pen an adventure down and we intend to run it next week. I hope to then write a capsule and then playtest review of the new Mongoose edition of Wayafers!

Huzzah!

The plot of the adventure involves investigating thefts that have been attributed to the local Ratkin population, and the commoners are itching to set up a lynch mob. Characters then go on to find out that it is not at all the ratkin, but a small wererat population living in caves just outside of town.

Worse, something else is afoot, as the players enter into a combat zone between the wererat population and an unknown foe that seems to be connected with the slow flooding of the caves.

What starts as a standard adventure to right wrongs and clear innocent names twists into a trans-planar conspiracy that the characters, at this time, can do little about.

Yeah, the HPL vibe is definitely there, hence why I feel it absolutely necessary to create arrachd of varying stats to allow lower levels to deal with them (multiple limbed 'technicians' that shape coral organisms into intricate structures of engineering, faster scouts capable of leaping great distances, lower class laborer/guards with less capable arrachds, the inevitable hulking arrachd of doom, etc.)

I'll probably be making a starring role for them in my setting.

Also, just noted the gaelic connection. I'm using gaelic culture elements with more traditional ones to give the game a slightly different flavor. Serendipitous.
