I'm thinking about introducing a Favored Enemy discipline in my games. It's one of the few classic D&D class abilities which are not readily duplicable in Wayfarers. Here's a first draft :
Favored Enemy : 2 skill points x grade. The Favored Enemy discipline provides a +1 modifier to-hit and damage per grade when the character fights his favored type of creature (ex. demons, giants, undead, etc) or a +2 modifier to-hit and damage against a subtype of creature (ex. succubi, ogres, vampires, etc) or specific creature (ex. gargoyles, trolls, wyverns, etc). There are three grades for this discipline but it can be purchased for multiple types, subtypes, and specific creatures. If a character possesses this discipline for both a type and an associated subtype of creature (ex. undead and vampires), only the one providing the highest bonuses applies. Due to their abondance and variety, humans count as a type, not a specific creature.
EDIT : Updated for the revised edition. _________________ My campaign's rules
