I can see this being useful, but not so much in this way.

Just fast rendering and movement would be enough. Dice rolls would be nice, but I don't like the notion of effects being intrinsic. Too linear.

Good things could come from this however.

I'm gonna miss the good old days, where easily half the arguments that erupted were about who can move how far and do what when.

My personal favorite is Godfrey's fighter winning initiative and charging into battle. Of course, since his action was to just to make full movement, he couldn't attack that round. The guy he stepped up to, going second, then attacked him. Well, duh.

Tortoise and the hare my friend. Tortoise and the hare.

Dont' even talk to me about the combat applications of Leomund's Tiny Hut under archery fire.

I imagine one of those old slide shows: "When the bell chimes, advance the slide to the action at the following initiative."

Chickens, page 425 of Wayfarers, is missing a key rule. If you roll a natural 6, you roll again and keep a cumulative total until you do not roll a 6. Rolled a 13 to hit, 19 damage, etc. Helps the trash talk.
