Well, I believe it's done.
The Wayfarers Creature Power Score list is available on the resources page.
Also, the Wayfarers Creature/PC Power Score Estimator webpage is up.
Let me know what you think. _________________ Take a page out of the Unicorn Bible and dance all night by the Light of the Dragon's flame. -Champions of Breakfast |

I don't get it.
I think that just coming up with a 1..5 or 1..10 point ranking, just by eye and intuition, might make as much sense and be even more valuable.
The scale is highly nonlinear and all values aren't equally represented, which is an indictment of our monster design too I guess. There's no reason why a dog, a VERY SMALL dog, a pixie, and a speck of dust couldn't all floor at 1, and why a kraken, a kraken lord, and the MOON couldn't all ceiling at 10. We could even have on-beyond conditions, give a speck of dust a 0 rating, and give the moon a 10+ rating.
I might be inspired by this to do it myself for WGJ. _________________ The GM is your friend. |

Well, I could divide by 3 and pretty much get there. It washes over some differences, but due to variability, that might be a good thing.
If you are inclined, have a go at it and let us know what you come up with. I was going to put this in WGJ2, but if we get a better system, I am all for it. I am going to divide by three and cap it at 10 and see what it looks like.
EDIT: Hmm. Dividing by 3 makes it pretty uninformative. Dwarf and Giant Eagle are PS 2, where they used to be 5 and 7. Dividing by 2 is ok... it makes them 2 and 4. Highest is a Wyrm at PS 15, dog is PS 1, brownie PS 2.
Give it a shot, Greg. _________________ Take a page out of the Unicorn Bible and dance all night by the Light of the Dragon's flame. -Champions of Breakfast |
