Lulu has just raised their international shipping rates for hardcovers to astronomical levels. The hardcovers are manufactured in the US only, which is likely part of the reason. However, these rates are far and beyond competitive.
YOGC is looking at alternatives. However, for the time being, if you are outside the U.S. and really want a hardcover of Wayfarers, email me at jimmy@yeoldegamingcompanye.com. -We'll see if we can work something out. |

No, but many vendors are and Lulu seems to be trying to figure out what to do. I actually learned about this from a post made by the folks from RedBrick, makers of Earthdawn. Lulu is not giving any direct answers just yet.
They are a top seller though Lulu, so it's killing them. I'm keeping on it, and looking at all options.
It seems Lulu switched from UPS to FedEx. Apparently FedEx buys their international packages first class tickets. |

I have an update on the international shipping situation at Lulu. Here's a post by a Lulu CS rep:
Quote: | Hello Everyone,
The situation with the increase in prices was the result of several issues. Specifically, we recently switched mail providers and in that transition lost some of our lower cost international shipping choices. In addition, we had been eating a lot of cost in international shipping and had to increase costs. The combination of these two events resulted in some of the prices users are currently seeing.
To resolve the situation, we are planning to roll out an economy shipping option in the next couple of weeks for our International customers that, while a little more expensive than the previous cost users may have been seeing, will be much more reasonable.
The economy shipping method will allow for worldwide shipment of a package from our US vendors for approximately $11 USD (roughly 8.4 Euros or 6.8 GBP) for up to 1.4 pounds and approximately $10 USD (roughly 7.7 Euros or 6.2 GBP) additional per additional pound after the first 1.4 pounds.
We hope this helps clear things up and we apologize for the inconvenience this is causing.
Regards,
Carol |
We'll see if this pans out. I have heard there might still be a problem when shipping to Israel. At any rate, if you are international and want to purchase a hardcover, contact me if the shipping rate seems unusually high. We'll see if we can work something out for you. |

Update: The hardcover issue will be resolved shortly. We have a mighty stock of hardcovers in house, and will soon be selling them here on the site rather than through Lulu. Shipping will be less than Lulu, especially for international orders. It should be faster as well.
If you are looking to get a hardcover and can't wait until we start selling on the site, shoot me an email. _________________ Take a page out of the Unicorn Bible and dance all night by the Light of the Dragon's flame. -Champions of Breakfast |
